spring scramble!

With bunny ears on and basket in hand, Maddy was ready to hunt for some eggs.  Although there were no actual eggs to be hunted, there were plenty of sugary treats waiting to be picked off the grass.  It was a nice sunny day in the high '60s and we were all enjoying our day at Alameda's annual spring scramble.  The kids were separated by age group and patiently waited for the announcer to signal the free-for-all candy grab.  Ready, set, go!

golden gate park

After two weeks of rain, we headed out to Golden Gate Park for some fun in the (rare) San Francisco sun.  First, we monkeyed around at the children's park.  

And chased a few pigeons...

Then, we headed on over to the western end of the park to see the windmill and tulips that were just now in bloom. 

Maddy even found a few kids to play tag with.

We ended the day with a visit to Ocean Beach just a few steps away.  The waves were treacherous and it was a bit cold, but Maddy had a blast digging in the sand.
