Last weekend, Maddy and Baxter saw snow for the first time in Lake Tahoe.
While driving up, the last couple of hours were quite harrowing due to the blizzard that decided to greet us. Jon gripped the steering wheel with white knuckles while navigating the winding mountain road. At the same time, Maddy insisted that she had to use the potty "right now!" Luckily, I had the portable potty and unlawfully allowed her to use it while the car was in motion. Unluckily, I had nowhere to dump it. We finally made it and the next day we enjoyed a freshly blanketed landscape and sunny skies. We spent the morning sledding.
We, the out-of-shape adults, tired easily and couldn't possibly make it up the hill once again. We headed back to the cabin where Maddy insisted on sledding a little more...on flat ground.
